Privacy notice
Who we are
Restaurant Hero provides delivery platform diagnostics for restaurants, takeaways and cafes in the UK and Ireland, and is responsible for the information described here. You can contact us at jonathon@restauranthero.co.uk.
What we collect
- What you enter in our form: your delivery listing link, name, email address, WhatsApp or mobile number, and anything you tell us you're worried about.
- When you send the form, our hosting provider also records your IP address, browser type and the page you sent it from, mainly to filter out spam.
- Public information about your restaurant's delivery listings, such as your menu, photos, ratings and reviews. We use this to prepare your diagnostic.
Why we use it
To prepare and send the diagnostic you asked for, and to contact you about it, including any follow-up support you ask for. We rely on taking steps at your request and on our legitimate interest in providing and following up our service. We don't sell your details or use them for anything else.
Who we share it with
Only the providers we need to run the service: Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the form, and Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies. They process it on our behalf.
Some pages include a video hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. The player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube, which is owned by Google, handles your viewing under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
If you don't go on to work with us, we delete your details within 12 months. If you do, we keep what we need for as long as we work together and as long as the law requires for our accounts.
Cookies
We only use analytics cookies if you say yes. When you accept, Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages people use, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies starting with _ga that last up to 2 years. If you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics isn't loaded. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage. Change your cookie choice.
Visit counting
Separately, we count visits to this website without cookies. For each page view we record the page, the time, the website that sent you (if any), whether you're on a phone or a computer, and your country. We don't record your IP address or anything else that identifies you. Stop counting my visits on this browser.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you're in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Restaurant Hero is independent. We're not part of, or endorsed by, Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats.
