Why isn't my restaurant showing on Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats?

Updated 2 October 2026 · 5 minute read

If customers say they can't find you, or your orders have suddenly dropped, there are two very different problems: you're not showing at all, or you're showing but too far down the list. Here's how to tell, and what each app says causes it.

Short answer: Usually your restaurant has gone offline or closed, you're outside the customer's delivery area, or your opening hours or menu aren't set up. Just Eat takes you offline if an order isn't acknowledged within 5 minutes. Uber Eats pauses your store after missed or slow orders and unpauses it at 6am the next day. Deliveroo may shrink your delivery radius when riders are short. If you are showing but low down, that's a ranking problem instead.

First: not showing, or just hard to find?

Ask a customer, or check yourself from a postcode you deliver to. If you're missing completely, it's almost always a setting or status problem, covered below. If you're there but a long way down, it's ranking: see how to get more orders.

Just Eat

  • Missed orders take you offline. Just Eat says that if you don't acknowledge an order within 5 minutes, it takes your restaurant offline automatically, assuming you're closed or too busy.
  • Check you're taking orders. On your device, or on your Partner Hub home page, the "Taking orders" toggle should be on. Grey means you're offline.
  • Check your opening hours in Partner Hub match when you can actually deliver.
  • Check your delivery area. If you use your own couriers you can set it up to 7 miles in Partner Hub. If you shrank it during a busy spell, widen it again.

Deliveroo

  • Delivery radius. You only appear to customers inside your delivery radius, and Deliveroo says it may reduce that radius when riders are in short supply.
  • Open for orders. If you're closed you may not appear. Make sure your opening hours are right and you're set to "Open for orders" on your tablet or in Live Orders in Partner Hub.
  • Scheduled orders. If you don't accept scheduled orders, you only show when you're open. If you do, you stay visible even when closed so customers can order ahead.

Uber Eats

  • The visibility checklist. Uber says to check that onboarding is finished, your menu has paid items with hours set, you're within your operating hours, and your tablet is on and connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Automatic pauses. Uber Eats pauses orders after several unaccepted orders in a row, when acceptance is slow enough that customers cancel, or when an order arrives during your hours while your store is closed. Customers see "Currently unavailable". If you don't unpause, it unpauses at 6am the next day.
  • Busy Mode adds 10 or 20 minutes to prep time instead of taking you offline, which is usually better than pausing.

Stop it happening again

  • Keep the tablet charged, on and on reliable Wi-Fi during opening hours, with the sound up.
  • Use the apps' busy settings rather than letting orders go unanswered.
  • Update opening hours before holidays and closures.
