Deliveroo commission for restaurants in the UK (2026)

Updated 1 October 2026 · 3 minute read

Deliveroo is the hardest of the big three to price, because it doesn't publish a standard rate for restaurants. Here's what we could find, and what to check in your own agreement.

Short answer: Deliveroo doesn't publish a standard commission rate; it's agreed when you sign up. Third-party UK guides report roughly 15% to 35% depending on plan, location and whether Deliveroo's riders deliver, with VAT added on top. Check your partner agreement or ask your account manager for your exact rate.

What's published, and what isn't

Deliveroo's restaurant sign-up pages describe the benefits of joining but don't list prices or commission rates. Rates are set in your partner agreement.

What's reported

PayoutLedger's guide to Deliveroo commission reports a band of roughly 15% to 35%, with most independents paying around 25% to 30% when Deliveroo's riders deliver, and around 14% when you deliver yourself. It also notes that VAT is added to commission, so a 25% rate costs nearer 30% in practice. Treat these as estimates, not Deliveroo's figures.

Questions to ask before you sign

  1. What is my commission rate for delivered orders, and for orders I deliver or customers collect?
  2. Is VAT added to that rate?
  3. Are there any setup, tablet or payment processing fees?
  4. Does the rate change if I agree to exclusivity or join promotions?

Making the commission work

Deliveroo says restaurants with good order ratings appear higher on the restaurant list, and its Hub now measures how complete your menu is. Those are fixable. See how to rank higher on Deliveroo and Deliveroo's photo rules.
