Just Eat vs Deliveroo vs Uber Eats: which is best for restaurants?

Updated 1 October 2026 · 5 minute read

Most restaurants end up on more than one app. Here's how the big three compare on what they charge, how big they are, and what they reward, using what each platform publishes.

Short answer: Uber Eats publishes its fees (30% when it delivers, 13% otherwise). Just Eat's are reported at 14% commission plus a per-order fee, and Deliveroo's aren't published. By share of UK delivery occasions in 2024, Lumina Intelligence puts Uber Eats at 27.2%, Just Eat at 25.2% and Deliveroo at 16.2%. Each ranks restaurants differently, so what helps on one won't always help on another.

Which suits which restaurant

  • If you deliver yourself, compare the self-delivery rates: Uber Eats publishes 13%; ask Just Eat and Deliveroo for theirs.
  • If repeat customers are your strength, Just Eat explicitly ranks on turning new customers into repeat ones.
  • If your ratings are strong, Deliveroo and Uber Eats both lean heavily on them.
  • If you're fast, Uber Eats says faster delivery times rank better.
